It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Justice Ayah Paul Abine, a man of extraordinary integrity, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to justice, who departed this world on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, at the Buea Regional Hospital.
Justice Ayah Paul was not just a legal luminary but a beacon of hope and a voice for the voiceless, particularly the oppressed Southern Cameroonians. His life stands as a shining example of moral fortitude, refusing to compromise his principles even in the face of immense personal and professional hardship.

He Championed the course of the Oppressed

He was a Humanitarian and Philanthropist : His work extended to Ambazonian refugees, where he consistently spoke out about their dire conditions.
In 2017, Ayah Paul declared, “The plight of the Anglophones in this country is one of systemic injustice, and we cannot remain silent while our people suffer.”
He was a sacrificial lamb:
As chairman of the Popular Action Party (PAP), Ayah Paul made a monumental sacrifice by resigning in solidarity with the Ambazonian cause, heeding the call to boycott political participation in the Cameroonian government structure.
In 2017, Ayah Paul resigned from PAP, stating, “The integrity of our struggle demands that we do not partake in structures that oppress our people. My allegiance is to justice and to the future of my people.”
